 Runway at Ambury

It was mentioned at the AGM that we should start looking at a way to get a runway so that the larger electrics could start flying there as well.

What about rolling out and pegging some shade-cloth over the field and making a temporary runway. That way it will not damage the field gives us a runway and will not upset the rangers by us mowing the grass so the planes can take off and land.

Yeah definatly once the printer is up and running I will be playing with wing profiles. Cai-Uwe has managed to get his hot wire cutter working so we should be able to bash out some nice wings.

I've got Profili Pro which comes with a huge database of airfoils if you want a few rib samples to play with sometime.

yeah I am awaiting the stepper motors now hopefully this weekend I can bang it together and start calibrating it.

Eventually I would like to make a nice cheap but quality DLG with it. The wing ribs are exactly what I was looking at.

I will forward the link to Cai.

Bumped in to Andrew over the weekend and I let slip that I am bringing in a phlatprinter.

Really good for cutting out quick kits from Depron EPP etc.

When it arrives and I get it all up and running I will be offering the club the discount rate for cutting. http://www.phlatboyz.com for more info on what this printer can do. Depends what customs stings me with which will depends on the final price but it will be around $12 per cut give or take a $ or two. Bulk cutting rates can be discussed as well.

The images are about 5-6meg in size each is your mail box capable of handling mails that size. If not I will pop round with a thumbdrive.
